PATSON Daka remains optimistic about the return of Leicester City to the EPL next season, the striker also made it clear that he intends to remain at the club.

For the second time in his career at the club, Daka will be playing in the lower tier of English football after enduring one of the worst campaigns in the Premier League.
Their Premier League fate decided at the weekend when they went down 1-0 to league leaders Liverpool.

The Chipolopolo striker is, however, determined to stay on at the club and endure another season in the bottom league, having done so last season.

In his message to the club fans, Daka said the players would work hard to ensure that they returned to the Premier League at the end of the season.

“It’s difficult to express how to feel right now, but I wanted to take a moment to thank the fans for your support this season, even when we didn’t deserve it.
“We didn’t show enough, but we will work together and do our best to bring this club back to where it belongs,” Daka said.

Daka joined Leicester as a promising talent in 2021 and has a running contract until June 2026. He has, however, struggled to command a starting position for the foxes.
Viewed as a long-term replacement for club legend Jamie Vardy, Daka has played 118 competitive matches for the club scoring 23 goals.
