Minister Says Zambia Is Safe and New Laws Help Protect People
Home Affairs Minister Jack Mwiimbu says it’s wrong to suggest that Zambia is not a safe place after changes to the Cyber Crimes and Cyber Security laws.
Speaking to Byta FM News, he said Zambia is still one of the safest places in the world for both tourists and investors.
He said, like all countries, Zambia must protect its people and its independence.
He explained that security services in every country are allowed to check communications if they think it may harm the country 🙏🏽 but this doesn’t mean people are being spied on for no reason.
The minister assured visitors and investors that there is no reason to be afraid of coming to Zambia, especially if they have done nothing wrong.
He also said the new laws are meant to protect everyone living in or visiting the country.
