A 33 – year old man of Chibombo district in Central Province has been sentenced to one-month imprisonment with hard labor for stealing two chickens from a poultry.
Chisamba Resident Magistrate Susan Magalashi sentenced Shadreck Tembo of Katuba area who pleaded guilty to one count of breaking into a building and committing a felony contrary to the laws of Zambia.
The court heard that on March 19, 2025, Tembo jointly and whilst acting together with an unknown person did break and enter the poultry belonging to Emmanuel Phiri and stole two-layer chicken valued at K350.
Magistrate Magalashi found the accused guilty as charged and convicted him accordingly upon his own plea of guilty and admission of facts as true and correct.
