A 34-year-old woman has allegedly been murdered by her husband, in Ndola on the Copperbelt, after the couple had a misunderstanding during a drinking spree. The incident is believed to have happened in Kawama compound, between Monday, April 21, at around 19 hours and Tuesday, April 22, around 04 hours.
The victim, identified as ESTHER MOYO is said to have sustained multiple cuts on the head, believed to have been inflicted by an unknown sharp instrument.
Copperbelt Province Police Commissioner, PETHIAS SIANDENGE identified the suspect as ADAM CHANGWE, who is currently on the run. Mr SIANDENGE has explained that the suspect first beat his wife while at a named bar as the two were drinking beer, but they were separated, and they later went home together.
He has added that the man however continued beating his wife when they reached home, and her body was later discovered in their bedroom where she is believed to have been killed from.
